hey frankie have you seen on the news about the coyotes attacks here in greenville ? if you what do you think about the trapper coming in with leg hold traps and setting them out instead of live traps ? i cant remember the guys name but i think the business name sc predator control ... i think lol . i just wanted to know what you have done in this ?

no i haven't seen the news on it I'll see if I can pull it up online.

Setting for coyotes in an area where you may have a problem with neighbors pets is alive trap set only.. If the neighbors are kind of close I always try to get as much info I can from the person I'm trapping for on who lets their dogs run loose, who walks their dogs and who lets their dogs out to do their business then calls them back in, I will go to their houses and let them know that I'm trapping coyotes for one of their neighbors and tell them a little on what coyotes prey on so they will be more out to keep their pets put up or walk them on a leash so their pets don't get in a trap, then I'll put up signs by the road stating that trapping is being done on the property to keep pets out of area with a date of start and a date when ending and adjust the ending date when needed, that's about all you can do.

If I was having to set in a well lived in neighbor hood I would not set foot hold traps at all.

thanks for the info thats what i told the wife i would have done is set live traps instead of foot hold . it was on channel 7 , 4 and 21 they all ran the story havent heard nothing on since then . the area this happened in is only 5 minutes from me i been trying to get down there just to look at what the area looks like from ground level and tell ya whats going on . thanks again Frankie .
