Default as to coons,possums,skunks?

with as much talk about how the coyote has impacted deer,i was wondering? how much impact is done by indigenous species such as the raccoon, skunk, opossum etc, and while we're talking about it,do you kill on site or release because it's not your target species such as bobcat, mink etc...just a thought passing through my mind.

I've personally let the Possum's and coon's go. The skunk's on the other hand I've had to kill.

when I'm trapping for someone they usually want all predators caught. Raccoons, opossums and skunks put a hurting on all ground nesting birds, a long with rabbits. I know a few people that will take the raccoons to train their dogs with but for the most it's not a good end for them.

I don't feel they're making an impact on the game in my area.
